BLOG BLITZ: Puppet Master by Abigail Osborne @bloodhoundbook @abigail_author

Excited to be a part of the Blog Blitz for Abigail Osborne's Puppet Master!  This psychological thriller is AVAILABLE NOW!  Also, take notice of how cute the author is - her dress matches the cover! 😍

Blurb:

Billie is hiding from the world in fear of a man who nearly destroyed her. But a chance meeting with budding journalist, Adam, sparks a relationship that could free her from her life of isolation and fear.

Unbeknown to Billie, Adam knows exactly who Billie is and is determined to expose her and get justice for the lives he believes she has ruined. But first, he needs to convince her to open up to him. As an unwanted attraction blossoms between them, Adam comes to realise that all is not as it seems.

Who is really pulling the strings? And are Adam and Billie both being played?

One thing is for sure, The Master wants his puppets back – and he’ll do anything to keep them.
My Review:

Told in three parts, the author takes us on Billie and Adam's journey.  Part one sets us up with Billie and you are immediately drawn to her.  Enter Adam... and we're left wondering what exactly is his motive for revenge?  Part two has us in the past and explains why Billie and Adam are the way they are - the reasons behind her fears and his anger.  Part three takes us back to the present again and this is where the story soars.

Osborne does a great job in really getting you invested into Billie's character.  Manipulation of someone who is in a weakened state happens all to often.  How someone can make you feel you have to do certain things or feel a certain way... it's something that when you're in the situation, you rarely know is happening.  It hits on the theme that when something seems to good to be true, it probably is.

I definitely preferred the present day parts of this book better than the explanations in the past.  A solid debut novel for sure.  I fear saying too much may give some things away but you are definitely in for some surprises.  Would definitely recommend and I look forward to more from this author.  I can only see her wicked mind getting better and the books getting stronger from here on out.

About the Author:

Abigail is originally from the Lake District but moved to the West Midlands for University where she completed an English Literature & History degree and also met her husband. She is a passionate reader and has an unsustainable collection of books. This obsession with books has led to her creating her own Dewey decimal system and she has been known to issue fines to family and friends if her book is not returned on time. 'The Puppet Master' is Abigail's debut novel and has unleashed a passion for writing. When not writing or reading Abigail is usually playing her violin or hiding from her much too energetic cats. She also works as a Needs Assessor for disabled university students in the West Midlands.
