There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, His & Hers. Which means someone is always lying.

Anna Andrews finally has what she wants. Almost. She’s worked hard to become the main TV presenter of the BBC’s lunchtime news, putting work before friends, family, and her now ex-husband. So, when someone threatens to take her dream job away, she’ll do almost anything to keep it.

When asked to cover a murder in Blackdown―the sleepy countryside village where she grew up―Anna is reluctant to go. But when the victim turns out to be one of her childhood friends, she can’t leave. It soon becomes clear that Anna isn’t just covering the story, she’s at the heart of it.

DCI Jack Harper left London for a reason, but never thought he’d end up working in a place like Blackdown. When the body of a young woman is discovered, Jack decides not to tell anyone that he knew the victim, until he begins to realise he is a suspect in his own murder investigation.

One of them knows more than they are letting on. Someone isn’t telling the truth. Alternating between Anna's and Jack's points of view, His & Hers is a fast-paced, complex, and dark puzzle that will keep readers guessing until the very end.

My Review:

I just love Alice Feeney.  I just do.  Point blank, period.  I know some readers have issues with some of her... say, shark jumping, but I am here for every single bleeping word.  I can't help myself. And this one pleased me just as much as her last two.... actually, more so.

Again, Feeney brings us short, compulsive chapters that immediately catch my attention.  I absolutely did not want to put this one down.  And every chapter had me trying to guess who the villain was... well, let's not say villain as there are many.. but killer. .. Yes, Killer.  😈 As someone who reads a shit ton of thrillers, I was like, "Ok, it has to be this person... orrrrrrr maybe *that* person because of this and that reason".  You know, going with the typical thriller "rules" we avid readers always catch wind of.  If I'm not making any sense, it's because I'm still reeling from this read.  Hold up, let me catch my breath.

Wooooooosa..   Ok, look, this one will have your head spinning.  I absolutely did not see the ending coming.  I don't care if some people think it's a bit out there.  The whole thing was AND I LOVED IT. I loved being constantly confused and not knowing what the hell was going on and with who and when and WHY.  This was definitely the read I needed right now.

I'm not sure this read will be for everyone because these types of reads always brings divisiveness and I live for that.  LIVE FOR IT.  Obviously, 5 stars.

Jessica's Review:

I've been a big fan of Alice Feeney since I picked up her first book, and she hasn't disappointed me yet! I know some readers aren't a fan of the crazy twists and endings, but I'm all about it. I didn't think she could top I KNOW WHO YOU ARE, but man was I wrong. Well done, Feeney, well done. If you're looking for a serious binge read, then you need to pick up HIS & HERS.

I feel like I can't go into too much detail without spoiling anything in this thrilling page turner. I feel like all you need to know is that there are some crazy twists, one hell of an ending, and she'll keep you guessing until the very end. I was wrong and as someone that frequents the thriller genre, I'm always impressed when that happens! Who is the killer? What secrets are we going to uncover? With plenty of potential killers to pick from you'll find yourself flying through the short chapters to find out.

I feel like I keep repeating myself, but if you're a thriller fan, then you need this on your TBR. If you're a fan of Feeney's other books, then this is clearly a no-brainer! I know her books can be divisive for readers, but that makes them even better in my opinion. I can't wait to see what she releases for us next.
